Evidence indicates that treatment with L-arginine seems promising in reducing blood pressure. Oral treatment with燣-arginine improves endothelial function in subjects with endothelial dysfunction (low baseline FMD), but this effect is not observed in individuals with normal endothelial function (high baseline FMD).Only two randomized controlled trials evaluated the association between L-arginine treatment and clinical outcomes of unstable CAD patients (AMI). However, Results of both studies do not reach statistic significant.
